Wire in usb micro charger

I am trying to figure out a way to wire in a usb micro b charger. I want to use my phone as my in dash car cam (check this app out its like a in car video cam on steroids https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.prowl.recorder&hl=en). I basically want to have the car mount up near the mirror and just have a cord coming down from the overhead light area and plugging into the car mount. Also, how do I get into that area with the overhead lights? If no one knows of a real kit for that Ill probably just try to rip apart a car charger and see if I can somehow just wire it in that way.

the easiest way would be to take a car charger and solder a red wire to the metal tip of the male part of the charger and solder a black wire to the metal side of the male part of the charger, then wrap it all in tape. connect the black wire to ground and the red wire to an ACC source (such as the ACC wire for the radio) and then hide the wire.

you could also buy a female cig socket and wire it up and hide it under the dash (plenty of room under both dash end caps)

Hmm ok, think there might be room for all of that in the ceiling? Lol, if possible I really wanna put it up in the overhead light area so I can have the cord come down with the mirror's cord

There's room up there, but it will be a pain to get to it. It seems to me that it would be easier to wire in the charger under the dash and then just run the USB cable up to where you want it. (You can get USB extension cables.)
