My windshield wipers stopped working. All fuses looked good. What could be the problem?

The washers still work, just not the wipers.

Maybe the motor? If so, where is it, and how much to replace?

I hate this car.

I hate this car.

Your car is new, right? It's under warranty, so the fix should not cost anything.

no warranty.

2001.

so cost is a major problem with this car. im still trying to wonder why i decided to buy another Ford.

any one have any idea what could be wrong with the wipers? Is it possible for the motor to die in a 5 year old car?

I went onto AllDataDIY.com to see if there was a TSB on this issue and there wasn't. So, this is not a common problem on the LS. I'd say start with the obvious first which would be the wiper motor since you already checked the fuse.

I would recommend getting a hold of a tech service manual if you want to fix it yourself. Let us know what you find out.

yeah rain-x works. I would use that as a temp. fix and replace the motor with in a couple months

Ah...you're joking right? This sounds extemely dangerous. For the sake of those around you, fix the wipers.

Eh, I've been in awful downpours where you could barely see with wiper blades, but when you put Rain X on it's a different story, I didn't even bother putting them on. The stuff is amazing.

rain-x works well, i know that for sure.

i really need these wipers back up and running, i have inspection next month and need them to work, along with the damn horn.

does the clockspring have anything to do with it?

The clockspring is different from the turn signal stem. If it were the clock spring you'd be getting an air bag light on and most likely none of your steering wheel functions would work.

Wipers

I got kind of the same problem on my car, But in my case the wipers won't stop, when I start them , they simply won't stop unless I stop them myself by pressing the wiper when it gets back to the bottom of the windshield kind of funny ..... , so I wen't to the stealership :D and they said it's the wiper motor ( cost 135 $) and it takes about 45 min to install it. What do you guys think ?
Winter's over, snow melting, pics of my baby soooonnn.
