Windshield Washer Question

This morning I jumped in the LS and headed off to work at 4 in the morning....it was a bit cold so I hit the windshield washer fluid button to clear the windshield and it sprayed as normal...but low and behold......no sweeping of the wipers.

I turned the wipers on and they worked as normal. I chalked it up to being as tired as I was this morning.

After work at 5:30 this evening I hit them again with the same result.

Only warning I have is Low Washer Fluid....

Any ideas?

But check this out...so I went out, filled it, no light and it's working normal.

Did I miss this in the manual...but that doesn't seem safe...this morning I almost crapped myself having to hurry and think about finding the wiper before deer run out in front of me...they have been....which is why I was cleaning it at that moment.

Certainly doesn't seem like it should work that way. I can say that gen II doesn't do this.

It pained me to do it...the wife tells me...why should it wipe if it thinks it doesn't have any fluid...man I looked stupid in front of her....my pride still hurts...ha

Yes the first Gen will not wipe if the low washer fluid light is on.

well i guess that is another one of the 500 upgrades...

That's odd...it was on over a week before this happened....in fact I used it the night before I parked it.

I could still see fluid in it and it was still coming out.....I find this a major safety hazard.
