ive been having this problem for a while.
especially when its humid outside, summer, fall, etc any weather really..
the inside of my windshield keeps fogging up with a disgusting film. i dont smoke or leave my windows down overnight..

im always fiddling with the defrost and hot/cold to clear the windshield up while im driving.

is there a mechanical failure somewhere?? this is irritating me.

do you detect any sort of sweet smell that accompanies this fog? If so..sounds like potentially a leaking heater core

Try cleaning the inside of the windshield really well with "Invisible Glass" from Walmart or similar. Follow the instructions on the can, especially about the clothes to use (buy some of those too). See if that helps. Chemicals in the interior parts of the car out-gas and can cause this. Also be careful of what kinds of cleaners and conditioners you use.

Beyond that, the suggestion that this might be a symptom of a heater core leak is also one to look into.

have you recently conditioned your leather? That can make for a very humid interior.

I have graduated past Invisible Glass. Although it is a great product, I prefer Sprayway. Sprayway is cheaper than IG, and works very well.

I also use Lusso Glass polish, but it's about 9 bucks for an 8 oz spritz bottle.

Glass Science also makes a product called Fog Clear or something like that. Supposed to work good.

nah, no sweet smell but often times the interior of the car isnt dry but humid.
my old 85 regal, i can step into it after a rainstorm, during winter, summer anytime and its just dry as a bone in there.

but the LS is a different story. sometimes it feels moist and nasty.

i have used the meguiars leather polish cloths on the dashboard though, as a wipe down. that might be the case.

theres two things that could be causing the humidity from what i know so far. and thus being part of the fogging problem.
the part of the pillar where someone tried to break in is bent, then upper door part is slightly bent, and theres a hole in the weatherstripping like someone tried to use a coat hanger.

most times if i get in the car, turn it off, theres a weird creaking sound in the dash, like a small grinding sound, right in the center dash. if it happens tonight imma record it. makes me think theres a blend door or something movable having a hard time opening and closing.. whatever it is, it could be a flap allowing outside weather in.

Mine makes noises too, but only like 20-30 seconds after I shut the car off. I think it was designed that way as a luxury feature, because you'd normally be out of the car already, and wouldn't hear it reset to closed position.

Replace your cabin filter and make sure the gasket to it is in place!

Maybe you are getting water inside the car from a leak elsewhere. I had a friend who bought a brand new Trailblazer and after the first time in the rain it fogged and smelled a little like mildew. The windshield had a small leak, we found this out by running a water hose over it and noticed it coming in.

Could have leaky sunroof drains. Common for the 03s. I found that both of mine had popped off from where they should've been. No more damp interior. :)

I think it's common for all years. Had the same happen to my old 01sport.
