had the windows tinted a couple of weeks ago on the 97 20% on the sides and 15 on the rear. the FRONT I had blue ice installed it doesn't cause any reduction in shade but in the bright sun you can feel the difference in heat transfer. and after driving it you really notice the difference the dash is a lot cooler. will be getting the other cars done before long. Man, I have no idea what I had on my Gen1 one, it was black on black, and had super dark tint. Always rolled down my window at night to see lol!

Just got my Gen 2 tinted today, 5% on the sides, looks fantastic! Will be getting the rear glass and front glass done next week.

If you want it more dark, you could stack another layer of tint on there, but then you probably couldn't see at night. =p

5% tint. Yes, I know the back wheel is on backwards.

anyone know what is the darkest tint that still allows the auto dimming rear view mirror to work?

does anyone know if the compass stops working b/c of the 5% tints? cause my compass stopped working the day that I put them on.

The tint will act as a "Auto dim rvm". I'd imagine if the lights were bright enough that the adtvm would still function as it was designed.

Imho 5% is completely unnecessary, I had it on a past car and will NEVER put it on another. 20% is perfect for both night viability, heat and appearance.

The compass module is beneath the rear view mirror on gen2's. Make sure it's still plugged in.

the rv mirror on my brown mark gets power and turns on but doesn't dim head lights behind me. idk what the tint is, prolly the darkest the law allows here in Ga

brother they are necessary bc they keep people from looking at you pick your nose while you're driving.

I purposely pick my nose at stoplights while looking at the person the next lane over and have yet to get the "Eww" face. 20% suffices. :)
