i know i dont post here much but heres my issues

got an 03 LS, the front passanger side window regulator has failed me and the window will not go up, took it to lincoln tried to charge me close to $500

what i'm tryin to do is remove this door panel to see how hard it would be to do on my own

i have removed the 3 screws on the bottom, the 1 on the side, the 2 behind the door handle

are there any that i'm missin, i do not want to destroy the door panel and create a bigger mess for myself

I've changed two regulators on my '00 and they aren't that bad really. I think I paid $55 for each off of ebay. I know there are a lot of door panel snaps that hold it on as well. It takes a bit of careful force to pry it off after the screws are removed.

ya i found it online for like $60 lincoln was tryin to charge me $230 for just the part

Follow joegr's post. Mine is referencing a gen I, and clearly your's is a genII.

Google is free....you will probably save at least $400 over the dealership price.

ya i found the part for $60, dealer was tryin to charge me $230 for that, not even with labor, so exactly , save around $400 and learn somethin

FWIW, get a door panel remover. Those stupid white clips break real easily if you just yank on the panel.

best four dollars i've ever spent at harbor freight

oh god no, it aint no focus.

ya thats what i thought, pulled up the parts

window regulator manual $235
window regulator power $93

i was like wtf

got my part of eBay....works great saved me a ton, I've taken off door panels before but my first try at the regulator i did it in an hour so its really not complicated...hardest part for me was putting window back in carefully so i didn't mess my tint up!!!! good luck

I would suggest getting one at autozone. they have the lifetime warranty and they will replace it if it brakes again,, happened to me .. dont go to the dealer.

I would recommend getting a Motorcraft replacement, which can be had from Rockauto or dealers such as Tasca for low prices. Advance auto has reportedly been having a lot of failures with the Doorman parts recently.
