anyone put a window regulator in before? if so rate on difficulty between 1 and 10 please also any helpful tips?

I would rate it at a 3 or 4. Fairly simple job. I had to replace mine when my car got broken into. Its easier to replace if you get one w/ the motor already attached. The best advise I can give is to be careful torquing the bolts holding the window to the regulator.

front or back door?
Removal and Installation (Rear Door)
1. Remove the rear door trim panel. For additional information, refer to Section 501-05 .
2. Remove the watershield.
3. Remove the interior weatherstrip.
4. Connect the window control switch electrical connector.
5. Connect the battery. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01 .
6. Using the window control switch, position the rear door window glass to access the 2-part retainer.
7. Manually raise and support the glass in the full up position.
8. Remove the 4 bolts and the rear door inner module assembly.
* To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
9. Disconnect the electrical connector.
10. Position the rear door inner module assembly aside to access the rear window regulator.
11. Remove the 3 rear door window regulator nuts.
* To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
12. Disconnect the rear door regulator motor electrical connector.
13. Remove the rear door window regulator.

NOTE: Prior to attaching the rear door window glass to the regulator, reinstall the outer and center portions of the retainer pin into the rear door window glass. The retainer pin should protrude an equal distance on both sides of the rear door window glass.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
* Install the retainer pin into the rear door window glass.
* Operate the rear door window regulator to the full up position until an audible click is heard when the retaining pin is engaged with the regulator.
* Operate the rear door window glass and regulator for correct operation.
(Front) Door Window Regulator and Motor
Removal and Installation
1. Remove the front door window glass. For additional information, refer to Front Door Window Glass in this section.
2. Remove the front door inner support bracket bolt.
* To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
3. Remove the 2 nuts and the front door inner support bracket.
* To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
4. Remove the 6 front door inner module assembly bolts.
* To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
5. If equipped, disconnect the remote keyless entry keypad electrical connector.
6. Disconnect the exterior mirror electrical connector and release the locators from the front door inner module assembly.
7. Disconnect the front door inner module assembly electrical connector, main wiring harness electrical connector and release the locators from the front door inner module assembly.
8. Remove the front door lower theft shield screw.
* To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
9. Remove the nut and the lower theft shield.
10. On the LH door, disconnect the door lock cylinder actuating rod.
11. Open the clip and disconnect the exterior door handle actuating rod.
* If equipped, disconnect the door lock cylinder switch electrical connector.
12. Disconnect the front door latch electrical connector.
13. Remove the 3 door latch screws and position the door latch aside.
* To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
14. Remove the front door inner module assembly.
15. Remove the 5 nuts and the front door window regulator.
* To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
16. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
* Make sure the alignment dowels are seated before installing the inner door module bolts.
* Tighten the inner door module bolts that are next to the alignment dowels first.

4. Remove the 6 front door inner module assembly bolts.
* To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
5. If equipped, disconnect the remote keyless entry keypad electrical connector.
6. Disconnect the exterior mirror electrical connector and release the locators from the front door inner module assembly.

10. On the LH door, disconnect the door lock cylinder actuating rod.

* If equipped, disconnect the door lock cylinder switch electrical connector.
12. Disconnect the front door latch electrical connector.
13. Remove the 3 door latch screws and position the door latch aside.
* To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
14. Remove the front door inner module assembly.
15. Remove the 5 nuts and the front door window regulator.
* To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
16. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
* Make sure the alignment dowels are seated before installing the inner door module bolts.
* Tighten the inner door module bolts that are next to the alignment dowels first.
