Window Problem

My driver window goes down when I turn on the car and wont go up.. then after a while it goes up... it moves when it wants to... any ideas?

what do u mean broke? the whole window? explain.. it goes up and down when it wants.. im thinkin since i have lambo doors that my door window cable got crimped and spliced and broken off.. but i didnt want everyone here tellin me im right.. i raht erhave other opinions

Well, if the cable was completely cut, the window wouldn't move. It sounds like it's just a little loose from either the wiring to the connector or where it connects to the switch even possibly. Hold down the unlock button and if the windows go down by themselves then it's probably where it connects to the switch.

I'm thinking you could quite possibly be on to something.

Is it's previous owner dead? Are you noticing any other strange occurrences? haha jk

ya.. it locks me in the car and attempts to drive towards lakes.. im surround by water here.. but its only UNaligned when i'm near water.. kinda weird...

That's weird... Well if you said it works sometimes then maybe the cable is loose somewhere else or pinched.

im thinkin its pinched because of the lambo doors i have.. ima open it up tomorrow.. nothing should happen to it tonight.. i'll ride in my girls car/ and not roll my windows down till i fix it..

Sounds like some sort of SHORT. (say that ten times fast)...

Windows seem to be an issue on these cars, my driver-side rear window has fallen into the door two times now, requiring a trip to the stealer.

Now, my driver side window sounds horrible when going up/down.

Good luck figuring out your problem, look for "rubbed" insulation on the wires.

Nah that's just Todd screwing around. It's a mix between joking and bumping the thread up. There's def other guys here with lambo doors that can help.

its saturday.. day after 5 of may and im kinda iffy about opening up all those wires right about now, but i have a place to go and I don't want to ride with no window.. i'll get back to this thread.. thanks for all ur help

problem fixed.. i opened the rubber boot and saw two cables seperated.. matched the colors and BAM!!.. my windows working..
