Window Noise

On my driver side when I roll the window up/down it sounds like there is a cracking noise or that it is grinding against something. I assume this is an issue with the window motor and if so, is this a hard fix?

I searched the forum but was unable to find something that resembled the sounds I am hearing.

Might need a new window regulator.

Yep, the regulator, not the motor.
