Ok because i know a lot of :q:q:q:q:q:q:qs who love slamming doors, my passenger window doesn't really roll up all the way any more. It rolls all the way up but it just won't seal. I hear ANNOYING wind crackling at high speeds and have to dry the inside of my car after a wash. You can kinda hear a rattling inside the door when you close it. Has anyone addressed this kind of problem?

sounds like one of the brackets that holds the window in place to the regulator either came apart of broke. pop off the panel and have a looky

removed 4 visible screws, is there anything else holding the door panel on? It wont budge and i dont want to force anything.

IIRC there is a screw on the inside door handle. Also, the screws along the bottom of the door. The door is held in place with some tabs behind the panel and they are a pain in the biscuit to break free.

Make sure not to pull with too much pressure in one spot. Distribute the force and get a little rough with it.

It took a lot of poking around but there was 2 screws in the door handle and i had to pop off the plastic around the ''knob'' to find a screw. Anyways, i find that the front track was the only thing lifting the window up for a while the other piece was broken. Can anyone get me a part number for this plastic piece? Has anyone done this job before? Looks like its gonna be a pain in the @$$ to get back together.

I think this is the standard problem people have. As far as I know, you have to replace the whole regulator assembly.

I have heard that someone on here had a guy from a glass company replace that broken plastic part with a part from a VW Jetta.

I don't have the part number, but I bought this and several other parts from 00ls-sport. He looked the part numbers up and gave some excellent prices. He's a parts guy at an FLM dealership in Mass. He also had very reasonable shipping prices. It was MUCH cheaper than picking it up from my dealership....

You may want to PM him.

I was in a hurry to get this done so i went to the local ford and just bought the regulator, they didnt sell just that part i had to buy the entire assembly which also included the motor. It cost me about $150, had my car back together in an hour. Thank you everyone for your help.
