Window Auto Up Broken

What controls the "auto up" feature for the drivers front window? Is it the master switch assembly, Front Electronic Module (FEM), Driver's Door Module or something else entirely? The "auto up" feature on the drivers door no longer works. Either by the switch or the "all up" feature with the key in the outside lock. It will auto down fine.

I thought there were no such thing as an "auto up" feature. I can see that causing some safety issues.
 
May be the switch, and yes the Lincoln LS at least the 2nd gen have auto up.
 
2nd gens have auto up?! Dang, I miss out on all of the good stuff! Is is possible to make all of the window switches auto down? And auto up?
 
The function is controlled by the driver's door module, I think. Before you give up on it, try recalibrating it first.
Roll the window all the way down.
Press the up button all the way down and hold it. Keep holding for about two seconds after the window is rolled all the way up.
Now check and see if the auto-up feature works.

All gen II have this. There is a safety circuit to reverse the window if it hits anything on its way up.

Dude, I owe you a beer. That corrected the problem. Have never seen anything like that in the repair manual, owners manual or here until now. Do you know why it works?

It's in the factory service manual.
 
2003 ls - took longer to search for this issue up than to fix it. Thanks guys. I wish all problems were this easy to fix!
