Will these work?

I've heard the msd coil packs are worse than stocks. As for plugs stick with autolites or motorcrafts. That being said, no, it's not good. It'll work, but you'd be better with stock components.

Gotcha, Im having a stumbling issue at idle when its hot out, and it looks like the orginal plug wires, coil packs. so I dont want to pull off a wire and check a plug without having replacememnts on hand in case one breaks. since chances are they are 15 yrs old.

Ya, you can get all that cheaper through Summit Racing. OEM coil packs are best really. MSD wires though work well. As as mentioned the Autolite 764s are the most ideal plug one can get.

I like the NGK plugs better than Autolites. If you compare the two side by side you can tell the NGK's are superior. The NGKTR55 IX plugs offer the longevity of platinum plugs with the performance of copper plugs.

Physics 101, copper is the best conductor for an environment like the piston chamber. Sure, silver and gold may be a better conductor, but they would melt. Any other metal does not conduct as well which means less of a "spark".

Honestly will you average person notice a difference, no. But in the end a copper plug beats all. Its been proven by experience, not advertising.

Its like those multi-point plugs. PLEASE! haha Only one electrode will be preferred and probably in less than 5 sparks of the plug!

You can get the NGK's in copper too. That's what I run in my car. The NGK TR55 (stock heat range).

Good to know.

One thing I do know is that the cheap BOSCH plugs suck. If anyone has them, best to replace. They seem to blow out the head fairly easily!

blow out, fall in, either way they are crap. the porcelain breaks free of the steel threaded part and either blows out or gets sucked inside the cylinder (been here on my bird). at least the nut stayed with the threads, unlike the ford 3 valve spark plugs
