the original mclaren ls had the black in the middle which is what i liked but then i also saw someoen else with it and it looked like :q:q:q:q but i dont know if thats cause pic quality or wutever but thats what is confusing me and then 02V8SPORT has the silver on his 04 and it looks hott as hell (but his car is also in mint condition)

Thanks LS_KING I was in the same position when I bought my McLaren grill. Its a tough choice, i like them both ways.

A regular LS lower bumper is all one color so it may be overkill with the all silver McLaren on a regular LS. Where the newer LSE's have the lower black bumper so a all silver grill isnt bad. I think you have to make it contrast what you currently have. If you have the lower silver grill I would do an upper silver/black grill. And vice versa.

KD00LS has all silver on a regular LS, it still looks good, but its a lot of silver

This has the opposite color of the lower grill

where the newer LSE has the different color lower grill so the all silver grill isnt too much.

Long post short, paint the middle of the grill the opposite color of your lower grill for a contrasted look.

i think the inner portion of the upper grille should be black (gloss black, not flat black) with the surrounding portion silver (or color matched), because it goes good with the bezel in the headlights. i've not seen it, although i think, if you paint the bezels color matched to the car it would look awesome with the all silver grille, or the 06 LSE grille. just my .02 cents on the topic

alrite thankss cause yeah his silver LS with the all silver is actually the car that turned me off (noo offence) but i was trying to figure out yy i liked urs so much and his turned me off the all silver never realized the bottom grille...thanks though i will probably get the silver with black then cause i plan on getting the LSE body kit but when i get that then ill probably buy a new all silver grille or just paint the inner myself

yeah i am planning on painting the headlights silver though also so my headlights arent gunna have the black in there which is another reason i am thinking all silver because then im not gunna have any black in the front but i dunno i mean i will photoshop both grilles into the LS rite before i buy but i am still jumping back and forth lol but im thinking the silver and black inner now

I had mine color match Silver Birch now for 6 Months, that way I can DIY black the center if I want at anytime. Easier then the other way if I changed my mine.

Any metallic Silver is hard to color match exactly.

Hey Guys, I went with all one color choice. My car is Lt. Tundra Met. green. If you look at picutre gallery you'll see the front all green. Good luck on your choice. Also don't forget that if you go all one color paint the unopened hole with some black in the center of those holes so it will look like they go all the way thru. And paint the portion of the hood blcak that you can see thru the grill. I did that and it made a world of difference.

Silver & Black no question take a look.

I just picked up another McLaren grill off of Ken this morning. I am painting the outside silver and leaving the middle black this time. Ill post pics next week after its painted with before and after and that may help you decide which way to go with a before and after shot.
