I was on my way to town today and i was on some back roads...i was going to take the interstate but good thing i didn't. Heres why..........

I was on the road and came to some bad parts,my front end needs ball joints,i heard the noise and thought that was the problem. I was wrong,I had my friend look out of the door to see anything and the rear wheel was hanging on by ONE lug nut. Three of them had broken off completely and the other one just the nut was off.

If i was on the interstate I'd probually be in the hospital,me and my friend both. So i spend 5 hours working on the rear on the side of the road, some older people picked me and my bud up and brought us to auto zone where i rented some tools and bought the parts i needed to fix it. The rotor is frozen on the splines.

So im going Christmas eve to old peoples house to fix my car :D just thought id let ya know

Close call!

And NEVER have anyone put there body outside the car while in motion. A client of mine was in Florida about 1 mile ahead of her husband. He was driving an Yukon and felt a bad vibration. His brother took off his seat belt and leaned out the open window to take a look. Just then the passenger rear tread separated and the vehicle went into a summersault. Its been a year and they are both still recovering.

well we turned down a road and only going about 2-3 m.p.h. so there ya go ;)

had a tire shop not torque the lugs on my trans am. as in finger tighten them. of course on the way home my front passenger wheel passed me.

tore up a shock mount and broke an air dam but i slid it to a halt in the ditch. needless to say they paid for all the repair and i stopped buying tires from them.

well at least it was someone''s fault that you could turn back to...this isnt the first time i've had my wheels tried to be stolen...guess thaey are JUST THAT GOOD LOOKIN' lol I think im going to get 2 sets of locking nuts, more hassle to take the wheel off for me and the flippin thief!

.................................................. ......................

well i have come to a complete stand still in replacing the studs.

I spent a few hours in the shop last night trying to get the hub off the car so the studs can be pressed out. I got the part off and it was you know what to get off. I bring the hub and arm assembly to a machine shop about 30 seconds from my house. He gets the hub out and the studs, the guys at Auto Zone told me the front studs and rear are the same so i buy 3 of them,i thought the other two on the car were fine, but they are twisted.
The guy goes to put the studs in and they won't work. He searches around for some studs and come to find out they have been discontinued. That really sucks,so we ask the parts guy where i work at and he said 93 t-bird studs will work. We call the machine shop back.....and they closed early...that really sucks. Especially since i have to go 2 1/2 hours to Miss. tomorrow morning ans back, then another hour to Miss again Sunday evening.
So we are takin the family ride and i will have to spend bucko bucks more in gas since i cant bring my car and stay in Miss.

I know its long and a few people wont read it,but it makes me feel better to post this.and its probually :tmi:
So heres to having trouble with the Mark:rolleyes:

I should check mine. I was actually worried about a 4 hour (8 hour total) trip I took for Christmas. I rotated the tires using my friends air tools, which I know for a fact torque to 110. 120 is recommended... and not more than that. I sure I am fine, but its always a good idea to check out your nuts.

Boy.... that sounded very wrong....

lol but true...yeah take a four-way and check em...i love usin air tools but sometimes it'll mess up if ya let em.
I usually go back with a wrench or ratchet and make sure they are tight, but i was in a hurry cause we were at work puttin the wheels back on.

But yeah...check em :D

Well good news I got the Mark fixed.....finally. It cost me $53.88 to get the old twisted and broken studs out and the new ones put in. It took about an hour to put the a-arm thing that had the hub and studs on it back on the car aand put the disk, brakes, and any other nick nacks back on the car. Took it out for a spin and everything is fine. Washed the car, because its been sittin up for a week, then grandpa cut the grass and gets it absolutely filthy.

Anyway, just wanted to let ya know how its happenin! ~~later

I put a wheel on my ol grand marquis at 5:30 in the morning and for got to tighten it. My tire litarly passed me doing abt 55. but thanks to my driving i didnt crash. BUT my tire went abt a quater of a mile before coming to a stop after nailing some ladys fence. Good times....

I had the wheel loosen up on my old 66 impala one day,so i make it to a auto interior shop and the guys working there were so cool they lent me a four way to tighten it, then we get a talkin and i find out they were hiring so about a week later i started there and learned the trade ,last car i did was a 69 gto convertable ,then ugly winter rolled around and work got slow and i left but still to this day we are cool with each others and i will stop by just to chat.
