where's the thermostat?

I have a 96 SLS that is overheating. I don't know where the thermostat is so that I can change it myself. (Female thing) The dealer said that my car had a blown head gasket but it has no symptoms other than it overheats. I had just put a new air conditioner in it when the problem started. Can anyone help me please?

just follow either one of the radiator hoses from the radiator to the engine. the thermostat should be located somewhere in there. you may have to remove some "beauty covers" to access it though. not too sure about the Caddys
