Looking to get probably all 6 coils for a lincoln ls 2004 v6. Where is the best place to get them at?I'm in the fresno,ca area but looking to purchase online unless there is a place around here that has them at a good price.also, can one install themselves or will it just be more easier for a mechanic to do it?

Check ebay. I don't know about the v6 but I know on the v8 four are easy and the other four are a pain. Though its definitely better off doing it yourself and saving the money

Do it yourself. The hardest part is getting to the last screws on the end, it's a tight squeeze.I bought a drive thats twists at an angle to be able to get the last ones.

I didn't have any problems with getting the coil covers off. The valve covers are a little more tricky.

The v6 is a pain in the ass to get to the drivers side (IIRC) coils. You have to pull the intake manifold to get to them.

yeah the intake is the tricky part

If your pinching pennies, eBay coils are good.. I bought a set of 8 for under 125 shipped.. I have had them on there for over 5 months with no problems.. The seller that I bought my coils from was global-automotive.. Nothing but good things to say..

I have six brand new ones, still in the box, i bought them and them found out they were replaced under warranty. PM me if interested
