Where is this Noise coming from?

I did a search and didn't find much for this problem. Driving along at any speed with windows down, i get a light metallic noise from the rear passenger side. It sounds exactly like a grocery shopping cart being kicked/banged-not too loud but it is noticeable and annoying.

I put the car on jackstands, could not find anything-i even kicked the :q:q:q:q out of my rear tires to see if i could pin point the sound-nothing.

At first i thought it was the emergency brake cable, how it is in the area of things it could tap on-not the case.

its not your center caps is it?
 
Center caps..?? I have the 10 spoke chrome stock wheels, it's just lug nuts and they are tight. There is a small (2 inch) cap with the lincoln logo-but i do not see how this can be making the noise. It's not the exhaust or even the e brake cable i checked.

It's annoying that i cannot track this darnit.
 
Ouch..that does sound bad. They are actually in good shape, just the slightest bubbling up near some of the lug nuts.
