and how hard is the install on the front Pass side? mine won't go up or down. I still a warrenty with a $100 deductable. should I just buy the part and do it my self? there is a Mexican auto shop close by that does work cheap so maybe they can do it.

I also was going to get autolite sparkplugs and do a tune up do we need platinum or regular copper for the v8 motor?

if you have a warranty with a $100 deductible, my opinion is to get it done properly at the dealership. they generally know what they are doing and should be able to have the part within a day. i'm not at work now, but i'm sure the regulator is over $100, and then another couple of hours labor to install, so $100 isn't that bad. now, if you are a cheap mofo, try www.car-part.com for a used one and hope you can put it in yourself!!!

the v8 plugs are platinum in stock form, but coppers will suffice. for only a couple dollars, if even, difference per plug, i would go with the stock platinums....and motorcraft is usually preference, though autolites are said to be the same plug in a different box.
