Had a CEL yesterday morning. Checked it at lunch it was the P0135 code, did an 02 sensor before not worried, planned on doing it this weekend. Woke up today CEL still there as happy as can be. Leave from work this afternoon it done packed up and left my dash. The bulbs not burned out, my battery is less than 2 years old.

Where'd she go? Did the code just get stored or did the problem fix itself. Now I'm worried.

The code will remain stored for several more driving cycles before it gets erased. The light is off because the actual problem is no longer being detected. The meaning of that particular code is: O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1

This does not mean that there is a problem that that O2 sensor (but it could be). It is quite possible that its a wiring or loose connector issue. At its worst, it could be a PCM problem. I'd start by unplugging the connector for that O2 sensor (passenger side, front) and re-mating it. That might be all you need to do.

Thanks Joe. I'll be doing that as soon as I can. The reader said exactly that with the description IIRC the sensor was slow to respond. I'll go give the sensors a jiggle or two just for peace of mind. I will :q:q:q:q a brick if my pcm is bad. Then again if that's why my trans is doing it's thing, two birds with one stone.

Thanks again.
