Where can I find that TV bushings for the Trans?

A few months ago, I was told I needed a TV bushing for my Mark VIII since its been sitting for years and one day after driving it for a few days, the car wouldnt shift to 2nd or it would but took a while and everyone was telling me its the TV bushings, well since then, I havnt driven the car but where can I find that bushing, no parts store has it nor do they even know what im talking about.

What sounds better: a $4 expense that is easy to fix or a very painful $1500
expense? If you ignore a dry rotted or missing throttle valve (TV) bushing
you are almost guaranteed to have the $1500 expense of rebuilding your AOD
transmission. The factory plastic bushing Ford installs at the factory will
fail after 10+ years of heat, no longer keeping the TV cable firmly attached
to the throttle of your 5.0L motor. When this happens, your AOD will suffer
from "low blood pressure" and die a quick and expensive death.

I have service manuals for my '88 LSC and could look "TV Bushing" up, but you'll probably get better information from someone who knows your vehicle.. It does seem to be related to the tranny and might be causing that problem..

go to a lincoln,, ford or mercury dealer,,,,and get a brass tv bushing,,,i,d suggest changing the trans fluid ( and converter ) maybe get a b&m shift kit,,,oh and don,t forget to install a trans cooler,,,addjust the tv cable ,,,and go cruzin,,good luck
