Wheels Not Fitting

I had some American Racing Sniper Wheels on my Silver Mark. I took them off to put on my son GMANjr's Mark, and they dont fit. The touch the spring. The fit perfectly on my 93 Silver Mark which has air. So why is it not fitting now?

Well the spring is fatter, thats all.

So what to I need to do to make these fit? Is there an actual difference between the springs and the air?

use a small spacer, people have noticed subtle spacing differences from car to car. Some people can use certain wheels and others cant without spacers.
