Wheel well Ground Strap

Hey anyone know what the ground strap in passenger side wheel well is used for in my 97 Gen II, I came across it while doing my front brakes and it was corroded and not attached to frame so I cleaned it and reattached it. Its located next to ride height sensor and to the right.

Starts at post 78, not sure if it'll be of much help.
