Hello everyone,today i went looking for a set of wheels for my Mark VIII. I swear,it was like pulling teeth. The person i talked to just frustrated the heck out of me,so i need some facts and clarity.
The wheels i was looking at were replica cobra speedstar wheels. The guy told me that the wheel would not fit my mark,and that they'd stick out too far. Then he said that they'd rub the brake calipers. Then he said that i could only put an 8 inch wheel on the car,and that a wider one would STICK OUT.
What is the friggin deal!!! I know i,ve seen Marks on here with those wheels and they fit! It seemed like every thing i picked out(which were all as close to a 5 star cobra wheel as i could get) he said wouldn't fit. Then he tried to tell me what kind of tire not get or i'd loose my smooth ride. It's my car,and i know how i want it to ride,and if i want to give up some of the ride for a stiffer tire,that my choice Dang it!!!
Somebody please point me in the right direction so i don't spend 2 hours in the wheel store next time!!!
Is 8 inches the limit?
Do the cobra star type wheels rub?
Can i choke this guy for jacking me around? lol!
