Wheel placement on the hub

Question about the wheels.

I was putting the rear wheels back on after brake inspection last night and I noticed that one stud has yellow paint on the end. On my 95 T-Bird the fronts had similar marks and one was supposed to place the wheels on the hubs so that the yellow stud was aligned with the tire valve. The wheels were balanced to the hubs and they would run much smoother if aligned, than if not aligned.

This the same on the Lincoln? Should I align the tire stem with the yellow stud for a more balanced ride? Anybody know about this?

thats most likely from a torque inspection at the assembly plant....sometimes they re done at new model launches other times completely at random...whoever verifies the torque signs off by using a paint pen....
