I'm stuck between two wheels, a pair of 17x8z or 18x8z as well, both in my price range but I wanted to know which size would you recommend? I'm planning on going on a 2" lowering springs and KYB shocks n Struts

Stock, you sir are ruining my support of 2.5 weeks guess of how long it would be before went away from stock. LOL.

Oh well. Go 18" with a correct size choice of tire based on your driving needs and appearance.

What do the wheels look like? I'd rather get a nice set of 17s than a hideous set of 18s. Overall, the 18s will look better and 19s (imo) look the best on these cars. What kind of springs do you plan on using? Most guys use eibachs which I believe give about an inch and a half drop and most of us have no problems with rubbing (even on 19s and 20s).I would also suggest Motorcraft over KYB.

+1 on Motorcraft shocks. If you're going to buy a/m wheels. Unless you need to keep the same tires or don't want the shorter sidewall, there's no benefit to staying with 17's.

It's ok Marcredd, at this rate he'll have this by the end of the month and none of us will walk away with nothing but a chubby.

I really like the 18z now and I do plan on running a thicker sidewall, the wheel is a 18x8 I believe and I wanna run a 255-40-18, if the wheel is still a lil tucked in I will plan on using a 1/4 inch spacer from autozone. As for springs I do plan on using Intrax springs which is a 1.75inch drop and I plan on cutting a lil bit of the spring to hit 2inch drop, unless someone can find me a set of 2inch lowering springs, for sure going with KYB and a lil fender rolling in the rear

I thought those Intrax springs were off the market?? Excuse me if im wrong.

Isn't someone on here selling a set? Or at least had some for sale about a month ago.

They are discontinued! Lol does anyone know where or who does 2" lowering springs I feel that 1" isn't enough

how much coin you got? coilovers will get you that low.

Not ballin lol, if so.I would of ordered the stance coilovers, I think I'm just going to get the eibach springs and cut a lil to get the lowering I want, will replace the shocks and strutae

I got the Eibachs and I have like maybe 5 inches of clearance to my skip plate. Its DAMN low. I think I might have gotten 'lucky' with Eibachs that settled really low. Basically what I'm getting at, I would see how you like it where they settle first (drive on them for a month after installing) because any lower and I would be bottoming out EVERYWHERE.

Hmm, sounds like a plan! Ima try that before If it doesn't drop any lower I'm just going to cut half a coil

yup try them out first let me them really settle in.

I got way more than 1in. Almost 2 in fact. My LS is a fatty i guess.

I just measured my wife's stock LS with my Eibach-equipped 255/40/18 tire/wheel combo (less than a 1% difference). My wife's LS measures 28" and mine, 26 1/2". Eibach says about a 1" drop.......

If I could just get an inch without anymore, I would be very happy.

I found company who claims there eibachs are a 1.7in drop in the front and 1.5in in the rear, but we wont know till I put them on! Lol

PS: No longer have a stock Lincoln Ls now, Ordered 8k Hids for the headlights and foglights, just installed LED License plate lights and 2 12" Kickers with a 1200 Watt Alpine amp:), next month if I get the job I'm hunting for I'm for sure getting my 18z and Lowering it!!!

Another serious question what is the widest positive offset you can run on a Lincoln, I found some 18x8 5x114.3 wheels off a Ford mustang which I believe the offset should be +25 but also including the fact that the adapters are another +25-35mm offset increase, will this clear into my fenders still??

translation, they stick way out. not safe. big bumps will smash the tire into the fender.
