hello I have a 1997 Lincoln Mark 8 I was told that can use wheel adapters from the goofy bolt pattern to the four and a half with a more rim options does anybody know anything about this is this a good idea or not thank you

Many have done it with no problems
I personally would not
You can also change the bolt circle as I have on one of my marks.
First go to "the coustom wheel shop" or tempel performance and look at some of the wheels available for our Stock pattern.

The problem with wheel adapters and our cars is that we already have a high offset. You would need at least 1.5 inch adapters, meaning wheels with another 1.5 inches of offset (so an 18x8 would need 70mm offset!).

You can do a hub swap in the front with Mustang hubs, and in the rear find Cobra hubs ($$$$ and semi rare) or get them drilled for the 4x4.5 bolt pattern.
