wheel adapter

My friend has some clean 5x114 asanti wheels and selling em to me for a real good deal. I was wondering is it wise to use a 5x114 to 5x108 wheel adapter? any cons to using them?

Cons are that the wheels may stick further than they should.

Ok so I was just looking at this and that and really got into what other people with our pattern are doing like some of the Volvos. Some of those things look slick!

I thought this would always be a bad thing for some reason but I found that most people instead of adding adapters which in turn double as spacers as well ( in most common cases ) have just been re drilling the hub and pressing the proper studs in place. That way the can go back to stock fitment as far as bolt pattern goes and dont add to the width.

Just dont let them tell you that you need to weld in your factory holes and drill them back out to size. Take a good look at the back of the hub and make sure you can drill new holes without the back of the studs being in the way of anything! I dont know myself what the back of our hubs look like.
