Lincoln and Mercury are part of the core of the Ford motor corportation.
Ford is much more likely to sell RangeRover, Jaguar, Volvo and a couple of others, not to mention their share of mazda before they will go after Lincoln.

S60 Type R - 5 cyl Turbocharged 300hp, with bolt-ons ~370hp. The car is a complete sleeper and has 3 different performance tunes at the touch of a button. I saw a black one 2 weeks ago in autotrader just under $30k with the bolt-ons 5 miles from my house. If I didn't have 2 yrs left of payments on my LS, I might've gotten it - it was very tempting.

If ford sells mazda or alittle of it than wha tthe phuck man! Mazda has a great line up and people are snatching them up like skittles or whatever candy they love. Hell the little 3 is going to be put on steroids soon, makes me happy. If my LS sells I am either getting something really cheap for awhile and save up or am going for a Mazda.

I for one am not worried in the least. After being abandoned by Lincoln and seeing the replacement POS (MKS) I have already decided this is my last Lincoln and probably Ford for that matter.

They have nothing I am interested in now. I will probably go with BMW or Mercedes next.
Ford has dug their hole and now they have to lie in it. If they sold off Aston, Jag, Land Rover, Mazda, and Volvo, they could then focus on Lincoln. But this will not happen. My guess is that they will sell Aston, Land Rover, and Mazda, and kill off Lincoln and Mercury. Ford will then consis of Ford, Jag, Volvo.
