I have had my LS for a little while now and am ready to put in some kind of DVD player. I have a couple of choices and not sure what I want to do, each scenario is running about the same amount of money....

Choice *A* would be to have a flip out touch screen dvd player installed and call it a day.

Choice *B* would be to have a double Din touch screen dvd player installed and call it a day.
or
Choice *C* have a bigger size screen installed in the dash, reconstructing the dash and have a good stereo/dvd player powering it with remote.

All of these options are running between $700-900 depending on what exact brand i go with. what would you do???

I have a double din and would not have it any other way! It just looks cleaner.

I've been looking into this myself, and here's what I think I'm gonna do:

If you compare the cost of a Navigation unit to a similar unit w/o Navigation, you'll see that you pay a BIG price for the Navigation. One I personally can live without.

Instead get a unit that will process normal CD music into 5.1 surround sound and build a system that includes a center speaker. Just so happens that Alpine makes a center speaker that fills a 1 DIN space. Put it above a normal 1 DIN head unit and you have filled your 2 DIN space on the LS dash. Both Alpine and JVC make head units that play 5.1 music and Crutchfield sells the 2 DIN lincon LS dash piece AND the 1 DIN Alpine speaker.
