Ok guys, the day i bought the car i told the guy the power steering doesnt sound right and to check it out, he assured they would. They gave me a dealer car to use for the 2 days where they do the servicing. 3 days after i get it the ignition coil is shot so its in the shop for 2 days. 2 days later my power steering is leaking EVERYWHERE and tons. it was in the shop 8 out of the first 10 days i had it,.. 2 weeks from this incident last night my car started whining from the power steering, turned the car off then back on and it kept whining. Turned if off again and it was fine. This morn start it up and the Whine is there again at a low level. i go under the car and no leaks but it looks like my oil pan is dented to crap which was not from me i haven't hit a damn thing. But now the steering gives a whine for 10 minutes everytime the car isnt warmed up. What do i do hear its been 1 month i've owned the car I dont pay 350 a month to have it in the show for 10 days out of the 27 ive owned it.. I'm getting real mad but need advice on this

They said they replaced the power steering switch last time and when i called today they could not be more dick to me telling me theres nothing they can do so just wait till monday. I've missed work cause of this damn car

Ummm what car? You failed to give any model information on your vehicle. The 00-03 V8's were notorious for having coil problems due to leaking valve cover gaskets... and just faulty coils. Several models also had problems with the power steering "squeek" at low (parking lot) speeds.

My 04 v6 had the steering rack replaced under warranty due to the squeek. I also had one window regulator replaced, the backs of both front seats, and one vacuum hose. Just lucky no major engine problems. The v8 is more prone to COP problems than the v6.

Give us some more info and we may be able to help you out.

OK its in the shop for this again. 12/28 days in the shop now and am not understanding why i have to pay the 12 its in man. ughh this sucks

Still in there, they say till friday, when i brought it in the guy goes to another mechanic "Power steering what comes to mind" then the guy goes "LINCOLN"

real comforting haha

That depends on the laws in New York. In a lot (if not most) states, the "lemon law" only applies to new cars. I know California has provisions for used cars, but I don't know about New York. Check the NY Attorney General's Web site.

Yeah it fits under the lemon law, I spoke to a lawyer and he actually said I will have a case with this.. the damn dealer won't give me my keyless entry they say "WE MADE A DEAL YOU WOULD TAKE CARE OF THAT" i never made that deal never in my life i made a deal i would repair the radio myself thats it. At the time there claiming i made the deal i had no clue of the issue

Get this they call me down there, the guy goes "either you or my mechanics braindead cause theres no noise" i say come on lets go check. start the car let him turn the wheel and sure enough it whines like a cat. Then he goes aright no car for the weekend probably till tuesday so 16/31 days in the shop greaattt

I'd talk directly to the salesman you bought it from. That's what i've done whenever there was an unsatisfactory resolution from the service department. HE's always been more helpful than the mechanics. Oh, and since i complained so nicely, they gave me a Yukon Denali as a loaner, and apologized for the trouble. Service is higher on my priority list than price whenever I shop for a bigger ticket item, such as a car, house, etc...

I basically just want to be done with this i can't stand these problems and i can't stand the service

Quick update. Called today basically flipped out they said come in Monday and we will working something out with the bill or getting you into a new car.
