I need some help from all of you wonderful people. first thing is first. umm...my car down shifts when it wants to, sometimes it wont sometimes it will, my check engine light comes on alot but go's away. i know i have to replace belt tentioner and CV-joints. but im wondering what it could be. i asked someone at autozone i figured maybe its trans filter? she said dont do a tranny flush it can damage it. it started to idle rough and die unless i rev'd it for a sec then it would be ok i changed plugs, old plugs had a rusty color on the spark end itself, it was horrible, 
it idles better but im just curios on what to do or what it is that could be making it shift like crap. thanks for the help everyone. it shifts up great from a stop and sometimes clunks in the rear because i believe the grease is low. it only downshift "sometimes" when im cruising. but will shift up again afew seconds later. it is a 93 lincoln mark8. thanks again for the help everyone.[/B][/B]
