What does this switch do? I see an image of "reset" with a gas tank near it. Is this the fuel reset or what? If it is, what does that mean? I tried to trace the wire but was unable to. I could be wrong, but it seems like it is something the previous owner added because it seems out of place and is pretty cheap toggle switch. Also, the wire running to it is way too long and bunched up behind the panel. I flipped it a couple times and it doesn't do anything (as far as I know) Is this something the previous owner added or do others have this switch. Any help is appreciated. Sorry for the low quality pics - camera phone

The fuel pump symbol and "reset" legend are not related to the added switch. They refer to the pushbutton accessable through the hole in the panel. This is the reset for the fuel cutoff. The fuel cutoff may be triggered if you are in a wreck.
I don't know what the added button would be for.

the switch does look like a standard remote start/alarm switch, does the car have an aftermarket key fob, if not can you look up behind the knee bolster panel and see if there is a mess of wires up there. the factory wires are neatly ran and taped up, most r/s and alarms are just thrown in and are easy to spot
