I've just ordered 8 gallons of Evans NPG+ coolant. If it performs as well as advertised in my diesel, I'm buying it for the Mark VIII too.

I've got it on my list of things to do on the LS. I plan to do that coolant change and the one for my motorcycle at the same time.

I have Evans NPG in my other cars and have found it to be good stuff. It even eased the hot weather pinging that my 177,000 mile Pathfinder was starting to have.

ps, don't the color change scare you.

I think I might be a bit lost.

What advantages do these additives provide over the recomended Motrocraft and water mix?

Evans NPG coolant is NOT an additive, It's a Waterless coolant. No water required. Actually, no watter allowed, come to think of it.

Advantages? I could go on and on, but just check out their website and learn.

These are the same people that invented the GM reverse flow system in the LT series engines. Or was LS series. Hell I dont remember.

The coolant will outlast your car.

Um... no it doesnt.

It doesn't what change color, yeah it does.

All three of my cars that have evans npg+, have changed from purple to a root beer red brown color.
When the first car I had with NPG did that after about 18,000 miles, I called evans, They assured me that it was only the dye in the coolant breaking down not the coolant and that there was nothing to worry about. I drove that car to 145,000 miles with that coolant in it.
It outlasted the car.
