I ordered a pair of Air Springs for the front of my '89 Bill Blass from Strutmasters on monday and was told they would ship that day. Well this evening still no package, so I called and was told they are on back order!!!

Now is it just me or does it toast anybody else's butt when this happens. If I was told that, when I was making the order, I would have declined to wait and ordered them somewhere else. So now I've wasted a week, waiting for something that wasn't there in the first place, to be delivered. Now I have to rent a car for a long day trip I have to make on tuesday.

Has strutmasters treated anyone else here this way, or am I just lucky?

Are the Arnott air springs much softer than the original Bill Blass springs?

Thanks

well,
i ordered a full set of coil conversions on wednesday afternoon and got them today. the sales guy was rushed, and they didnt have the struts, only the shocks. i just got the springs, and got the shocks and struts from my local parts place.

so it was an ok customer experience, and i did dig the 25% discount that i got.

finally got tired of lack of followup and lost in shuffle. Asked for a refund and ordered a set from Arnott. Also learned from Arnott that if you order a dryer, but still have an original air pump, they break off the new style locking tabs that join it to the pump so you can connect it to old pump. But then there is no clip to fasten it. Also then when a new pump is eventually installed there will be no tabs. Strutmasters neglected to mention this.

As far as how my conversations went with Structmasters........don't ask......it's still to painful to talk about!

However the parts man at Five Star Ford was extremely nice and helpful. I asked him about a drivers side window rubber that squeegies off the water when opening it.....$400.00 but discontinued.

Well, I've said this in other threads...will continue to do so. I'd certainly put my trust in Arnott.

I personally knew him in the early 90's when we were both sharing notes on Lincoln air suspension tech and the many trix to fix it.
He was such a nice and sincere person to deal with. Definately dedicated to the airspring tech and customer satisfaction.

I haven't talked with him in, probably, 13 years.

My main post was to reinforce Arnott's integrety and product as I knew it. Don is a good guy!
I honestly have no experience with the other airspring vendors. But they, too may be just fine.
This is, by no means, an Arnott plug. I just knew the guy and trusted him.
