Well, I bought a Gen 2 today, but sadly I may not ever get the title. I am from Oklahoma, and it was bought in Texas. Now, the woman I bought it from, had the title from the previous owner, and it was signed by him, and her, but she didn't have the title of her own yet. She gave me a bill of sale and it was filled out, and she then got a Paper from the DMV of Texas I think, and it showed that the car did belong to her, and was in her name and transferred over, but I don't know why she didn't have the title yet. My brother said it would be fine, but I am kind of iffy about it....:shifty: So, it will come down to parting it out, or making it a beautiful beast. 
I just somehow HOPE I can obtain the title for it and the tag agents over here are very nice, but I know some of them are strict as hell. :shifty:
