Yeah, so I'm getting my stock gen2 grille color-matched as I type. The grille will be taken apart completely, so I might as well paint the waterfall while I can. What color to will blend nicely with my silver birch LS?

I like the stock matte black. But I would paint your lower grille bars flat black too.

I would leave it alone just get the chrome surround color matched and as Pektel mentioned paint the lower grill black.

Considering that I am dropping off my grille and lower body extensions this weekend to have the all color matched, my vote went to color matched.

Yeah, I'm definitely thinking about painting the lower bars black. I plan to eventually get an LSE bumper, so I probably wont mess with it.

I like the matte black too, but during the day it looks more gray than anything and is a little dull.

I felt the stock color was more of a gray than black, maybe mine was faded little, but I would leave it black and if yours looks gray paint it black.

Damn, forgot to put flat black in the poll. Yeah, I'm thinking flat black, and if it doesn't look right, then a low gloss black. Flat will probably look better at the stage my LS is basically in (nearly stock).

I agree with Alax7. The stock looked more like a gray to me, so I painted mine gloss black and found it to be much better.

Like villalta, I also painted mine gloss black, then cleared it. Now it reflects off my bumper and matches my car, cuz it used to look gray

Thought I'd throw up a couple pics. Went with black gloss with clear coat, and it turned out great. Makes it look meaner. Need to get rid of the rest of the chrome.
