Any ideas on the cost of replacing the waterpump and fan belt on an 2000 V8.

Not for sure but what is telling you that it is the water pump? I have a problem and I suspect the pump so I just thought I would ask.

The fan belt was Ok but replaced it anyway, the car overheated, engine light went on and the thermostat was OK. The water pump impellers disintegrated, and caused the failure. My mechanic told me this is common, but that the replacement pump has been redesigned to allow warer to circulate around the housing, and is a better design....hope so. Have not got the bill yet, so wllllet you know.

New water pump, fan belt, clockspring and replace inside door handle.
