My car seems to be collecting water in the door sills all the time, and I would assume it is the weatherstripping but wanted to make sure it is not some crazy nonsense first. Does not happen on the front doors, however my front driver window has water on it if I roll it down and roll it back up after it has been raining. I just don't want the sills to rust out eventually from this. Also is it common for the trunk lid to start a little rust around the chrome trim surround thing?

I hope my doors aren't full of water or something. I recently had to fix my headliner as well it came down a bit from outrageous wind with the sunroof open. The LS is showing some aging damnit :shifty:

Thanks dudes and sorry if this was covered elsewhere, hard to navigate in my POS droid.

If you look in the lower inside corner of the door you will notice a black oval plastic piece. This is the door drain cover. Pull it out and clean whatever is blocking it. This drain is put there to allow water to escape the inside of the door. It sounds like yours is clogged and not letting the water escape very fast. I have had this problem in the past and ended up taking the black piece out and saw all kinds of crap behind it.

And yes... rust around the rear surround and key hole is fairly common.

Thanks I'll check it out now. I suppose if I were to have rust try to sprout up anywhere it's better there than on a quarter panel or something. I have a fair amount of body touch ups that need to be done eventually so I'll just add that to that list. Scratches EVERYWHERE and a few obnoxious dings.

Anybody know if the FEL-PRO Part # VS50724R from RockAuto is a proper part to replace leaky VCG's with? Riding on factory plugs at almost 90k.
