ok so i got some leds for my visors and was putting them in and while takeing the old ones out i used a small screwdriver. well when prying them out i touched the two terminals together and it shorted out... i took it apart and noticed that it would flicker very dimly when i played with the wires... other than that no dice. all other lights in car work .. so my question is did i fry the wiring and need a new visor or what....god im stupid

Check the pin that goes into the light socket, it might have pulled out a bit. I had that happen on one of the rear over head lights while putting those LEDs in the other day.

well it sparked and then nothing .. no fuse to check.. all others work... dammit but the other side looks awesome and there is some adjustment but very little.. i think it must have just fried the wiring .. i hope i dont have to trace the wires back

I would suspect that it fried the dimmer circuit in the visor.

yep i fried the whole thing.. i used a voltmeter and got 12 volts from the wiring. no volts from where the lights go in.. so somewhere in between is mangled.... i ordered a new visor and will replace the mirror assembly only.... dont make same mistake NYCLS8
