First quick background: I've owned my Lincoln LS for the last four years. I have done all routine maintenance and it has 74,000 mile on it. I have always followed this forum but have never joined due to the awesome SEARCH:) tool.

Here’s the problem. Took the LS due to the car jerked and then popped out of gear and the check transmission light popped on. Pulled over turned car off and restarted and drove home with no more issues. Took LS to dealer very next day. A couple days go by dealer said they were having problems getting the car to run correctly. I replied, it ran fine when I dropped it off. I have a transmission problem. They then proceeded to tell that I had 3 faulty fuel injectors, 3 on there way out, and 2 ok:mad: . So I had my car towed to a shop my wifes family trusted and He said it needed to coils. I said no problem replace them. Got the car back. It was running just like it was when I dropped it off. Driving it home and the car surged again feeling like the transmission messing up. Check transmission light came on so I pulled into Autozone and she gave me a code which was Injector output high cylinder 4. So do you guys think it could be the Injectors causing the tranny issue? By the way no check engine light.

Which coils were replaced? The #4 on the V8 can give erroneous information due to electro waves bleeding in to the PCM.

If the Lincoln dealer originally said the injectors where bad and going you still might want to follow up on that.

I replacing them all at the end of this week, I didn't know if anyone has heard of bad injectors jerking car the car and throwing a check transmission code?

It seems like lately I've been dumping money into the LS. Valve head gaskets (preventive maintence), Idle air control valve, A couple of coils, entire intake, and now 8 injectors. When it rains it pours.

My transmission is still under warrenty for another 400 miles or 1 month and a half.

I thought that I had a few injectors leaking off, so I sent them out to be cleaned.

None of the injectors were leaking off and were off from each other just a little bit.

Personally, I would send them out to have cleaned. I am guessing you already bought them - don't throw out your old ones.

Also, I numbered mine so that the Injector Dr. knew which one was #1-#8 so that if there was an issue, I knew which cylinder it was.

You know I didn't even think about that. I was just going to buy the Remaned ones at Rock Auto for $29.99 after the $10 core is removed. I just want my baby back to running normal.

It cost me around $130 to have them tested and cleaned. I was just going to buy new ones, but figured I'd give the cleaning a shot because I was convinced that they were leaking off...causing my starting issue.

My LS had a "jerking" problem at 40-45 mph. Changed the spark plugs, coils, and MAF sensor, and it ran much better. However, it never came out of gear like you said.

I went through Injector Rehab which is in NJ. I did all of the labor myself and not a dealership.

I always do all the labor myself as well. The transmission is still under warrenty. I feel like I'm on one of those dateline specials where I took my car in for a transmission (still has warrenty) problem and car came back with two coils out and the Stealership always wonders why people doesn't trust them.
