I'm a fairly skilled shade tree mechanic, having been at it for many years. Besides always worked with my hands in the trades.
Anyway,I did my 01 LS V-8 , valve cover gaskets ,seals, plugs ,and all new coils about three weeks ago. Took me three hours for the right side and over seven hours for the drivers side. The parts manager at the Lincoln dealer where I bought the parts (online) said they get eight hours for the left side and four for the right. I had to speak to him by phone the following week to order a new drivers seat track with motors ( over$300-ouch).Seat wouldn't move up and back and you can't buy the motors separately. So with my own labor I spent about $800 in two weeks. I hate to think what the two jobs would have cost at a stealership
How did you do it in two and a half hours total??
BTW: The LS faster and smoother than ever!
