I have a book (factory) but not sure where I put it. So I shall ask here quick. What does the small plastic vacuum line go to off of the intake. Its along the fire wall and goes to a 90 degree with a red line that is short before it hits another fitting. Pretty sure it enters below the A pillar along the fender line.

Just asking because with it off my idle smooths out. With it on the idle is a little rough. Also when I first disconnect the line but block it quickly the engine RPM drop to near stall. Yet once that happens I can unblock the line and things are fine (although of course there is a small leak).

Just wondering. Thought it was for HVAC, but its not... all that functions fine after disconnect.

IMHO: MAF failed, because when you take off any vacuum line from the intake, the hole becomes an input for the air, not calculated by MAF. Also may be a dirty IAC valve.

Huh? That makes no sense at all. Besides, that is not what I asked :) I dont care about the idle, I care about what the line is! :)

The only thing you can shurely get by unplugging that line - is good idle. If you don't care of them - plug it back and forget.
Don't try to repair things not broken, don't try to improve what you don't understand :)

So anyone with an understanding of English and a brain have any ideas what the line goes to?

Have a look by yourself, OK?
