Is there any way to get an aftermarket head unit to utilize all 8 speakers in the car? I have the Alpine stock... I'm sure I can figure out a way to get the subs, but what about the 2 highs under the dash?

yes, very possible and very easy

in the same small plug as the factory sub wires (black 8 pin harness for 1st gens) are the signal wires that go to the factory amp under the dash for the effect speakers(center console speakers)

when you replace the radio make sure to get the audiophile harness (or Mach depending on which GEN it is) it will come with an extra harness that has rca's that plug in to the new radio and turn on wires for the amps

my Kenwood utilizes them all :P and I can also PICK which ones I want on and how man DBs each will produce....

Hummm.... im lost:confused: lol.

Im looking to buy an after market headunit too. Would be nice to have everything hooked up right instead of rigging it all up. Model numbers to said radios

awesome, good to know. I would hate to lose these speakers just for a more practical head unit.

Can somebody give me a link of a good site to buy these wiring harnesses?
