Used Computer

Anyone know if its a good idea to put in a used computer from a donor on a 00' LS? They are all over on Ebay, but I need to know how to go about replacing it. Is this an easy installation? Do I need to then have the car tuned? Also is it really possible for a car to run if a mechanic says the computer is fried?

You have to get the exact same part# and strategy code. Installation is a couple hours (have to remove glove box)....kicker is the car would then need to be towed to dealer to have then go into the pcm in the security area and allow it to "mate" up to the rest of the car.....
