Turn signals and window regulator

I have a 2005 LS with about 97,000 miles and it needs a little attention. The window regulator on the passenger side let go this weekend and we have it propped up now. Door is apart, but I am wondering how to get the parts out and replace the regulator. I looked and couldn't find anything real descriptive for the Gen 2. 1st thing I see in the way is the door opening cable.
Any good references for fixing this?

Also, my turn signals don't work correctly. I have to move the stalk around to make it work. Is this due to the ring under the steering wheel, or a bad turn signal switch? That has gotten annoying, lol.
My car is clean and I still enjoy it. Just needs some attention.

Sorry, I have to disagree. The turn signals have no relation to the clockspring. Only the switches on the steering wheel (things that rotate with the wheel) go through the clockspring. The multi-function (turn signal plus wipers) switch is what is needed here.

Note that you don't actually have to remove the glass, as long as you have some way to hold it up and out of the way, such as suction cups or tape.

Thanks Brian and Joe. I had my doubts about the clock spring as my steering wheel controls work just fine. I'll try some contact cleaner in there and see. Otherwise, order a new one.
Thanks for the link Joe. That is exactly what I was looking for. I will get it replaced this weekend. Time to scratch up the arms, lol. I have never worked on a door interior and not come out with some scratches.

My apologies, I was just scrolling through some old threads the past few days, and I swear I saw someone report that they were having similar issues (but also radio control issues) and the clockspring fixed it. Must've read wrong.

The instructions do not say anything about the door handle cable. That needs to be removed. It's keeping the assembly from coming out.

Does too. It's step 13. Remove the 3 door latch screws and position the door latch aside.

This gets the cable out of the way.

Duh, sorry about that. My bad. How does the plug on the latch side unhook? I can't find the release on it and don't want to break it.

It's a major pain, and I can't describe it well. Maybe you can see enough of it with a mirror? The driver's side is easy, because you can see it pretty well. That side only took me a minute or less. The passenger side, working blind, took me several minutes by feel to get it. Putting it back on is easy in comparison.
