This may look like a familiar subject to some of you on here. However, I have used the search function and have turned no results of people having the same exact issue as me.
When I use my turn signal, it works normal like it should. Sometimes it goes from a normal rythm, to a crazy sporadic fast speed (as if the bulb were bad). Then it will stop working. The bulbs are fine. I have no idea what is causing this issue.
It will go from normal, to fast, to nothing All in the same engagement of the signal. If I give the turn signal lever a little extra push it will continue to work normal.
Has anyone had this same issue?

Clockspring is going bad, or a loose connection somewhere.

Not the clockspring. Those signals don't go through it. This sounds like it is the multifunction switch, or the wiring right at it. Failure of the multifunction is not unheard of at all.

Interesting. But the steering wheel controls do.

The steering wheel controls rotate with the steering wheel. The turn signal lever does not rotate with the steering wheel. The clockspring carries signals between the non-rotating column and the rotating steering wheel. The steering wheel buttons have to go through the clockspring. The wiper and turn signal wiring can't go through the clockspring.

Just had a similar situation.

Making a turn, got a "check right tail turn lamp" message, followed by hyperflash. Couple of turns later (and bumps), it fixed itself.. hmm, weird. I pulled the bulb, and one of the metal pins (is that the term?) that wraps around the base was completely roasted.. just GONE. Cleaned up the socket, swapped in new bulbs, problem solved.

Yeah, I've had exactly that three times now (on two LSes).

Before that, I had an even weirder one. Suddenly I started getting alternating warnings about a brake light being out and a parking light being out. I pulled the bulb out, and the two filaments in the bulb had shorted together.

Im not getting any signals from the mesage center. All bulbs work properly. No warnings of any kind.

Yes, we were talking about another issue. Your issue is the multifunction switch. Threads here don't always stay completely on topic.

Understatement of the year!!!

... by the way, anyone have a favorite wiper...:p

same here

Had the same problem when a tail light was about to short out. very strange, but changed out the bulbs and cleaned the contacts, good as new.

inside the switch itself are some contacts that are greased with electronic grease. after awhile the grease gets full of dirt causing electric shorting. Clean off old grease and install new grease, clean contacts, good as new.

there is also a phantom wipe with the windshield wipers, this is dirt on the contacts at the end of the turn signal arm, spray a degreaser into the end of switch arm to clean out old electronic grease.

That phantom wipe could also be caused by the rain-sensing wipers left in the "auto" position.
