Ok I have a question. I live in Mass I'm getting ready to install my Vortech s/c and I'm going to run 8psi. I have an SCT Livewire and the place that I'm going to get it tuned at is in Connecticut. So my question is wut is the best way to get it there without blowing it up.

Have them send you a tune file.... they should be able to put something together that accounts for your maf and injectors along with being generally safe enough to get the car there without a hitch.

If I were you Id just go rent a truck and trailer. Never know if something will let loose on the dyno and leave you without a ride back home.

yeah thats true but I do have AAA. I bought the SCT from Dennis Reinhart so I might beable to get something good enough from him to get me there

usually the shop doing/providing the tuning will provide the "safe start up tune" that should be used.

it's not wise to use one tuners start up file, then go to another tuner..trust me, it opens up alot of possible issues that wouldn't normally happen.

Alright, do any of you know of any good tuners around my area, most of the places I've been told to go to are in Connecticut, the one I think I'm gonna go to is XX Tuning

Also I have underdrive pulleys on my car, I should obviously go back to the stock harmonic balancer or I won't be putting out as much boost right.

Ahhh okay then. Id contact the shop you plan on taking it to and see if they can provide you a base tune to get it running. Then you just baby the car there and stay outta boost and youll be golden.
