I just bought a 95 Markviii. During the test ride around the block, I did not find the problem that is now giving me a sick feeling in my stomach.
With the o/d on, the shift from 3 to OD(4) slips a fair bit. I can watch the rpms climb pretty good. If I just blip the throttle where it should be shifting and lift, it will go into 4th(OD). Am I in for a world of hurt in the wallet?
The 1-2 and 2-3 shift seem ok, not crisp, but ok. I don't know if the updates have been done, the car is right at 90,000 miles.
