My transmission (2004 LS V8 sport) feels like it is dropping into neutral between shifts, you can see the RPM's spike up between gears. If you're on the gas a little bit, I get about a 1000 RPM spike before it thunks into gear pretty harsh. In SST mode shifts are firm and quick.
It's intermittent, I've had the dealer look at it three times when I've had it in for engine problems, but of course it never does it when they have it. They said the fluid level was OK, still makes me uneasy you can't check it yourself.
I read a lot of people have had solenoids replaced, does this sound like the same problem?
