at what temperature does a transmission run the best. engines run best in a certain temp range. does the same hold true for a tranny? does it matter as long as there is no breakdown of the tranny fluid?
Most fluid is designed to operate around 175 degrees Fahrenheit. Above that fluid life is drastically reduced. A cooler is always a good idea even on a stock leisurely driven car.
